Users Can Now Link Their Coinbase Card Directly with Google Pay to Spend Crypto

According to a March 17 announcement, users of Coinbase Card, can now add it directly to their Google Pay wallets. Coinbase Card is a Visa debit card funded with crypto that allows users to spend directly from their Coinbase accounts.

According to Coinbase, Google Pay gives Coinbase Card customers a fast, secure way to purchase items using their smartphones. The Google Pay app allows android users to purchase things using their crypto balance in the safest possible way. With the launch of Google Pay, Coinbase claims to be the first company to allow users to make mobile payments with their crypto balance.

Coinbase Card payments using the Google Pay are currently available to customers in 14 countries in Europe. They include, Poland, Croatia, Finland, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Spain, Italy, France, Slovakia, Ireland and the United Kingdom. The company claims it is working to expand this new option to other European countries later this year.

The Visa debit card was launched by Coinbase in April 2019 in the United Kingdom. The company claims the card will enable it to achieve its mission of making crypto easier to use and spend. The card is currently available in a total of 29 European countries and supports 10 coins including BTC and ETH.
