HTC Unveils Exodus 5G Hub Router with Bitcoin Node Support and A Crypto Wallet

News / 05.03.2020

Exodus 5G Hub utilizes such services as VPN and crypto-focused Brave browser to facilitate a high level of privacy. However, the most fascinating feature about this new HTC release is its ability to directly run a Bitcoin node.

Additionally, this new product allows its users to manage their cryptocurrency holdings with the help of the Zion Vault wallet. The Vault supports several coins, including Bitcoin (BTC), Binance Coin (BNB) and Stellar Lumen (XLM).

Notwithstanding, the technical specifications of the new version of the router is still the same. Like the old version, it runs on Android 9 with the Snapdragon 855 chip. It also offers a maximum download speed of roughly 2.63Gbps, more than enough to connect with up to 20 devices.

This new router is an addition to the Exodus line of blockchain-oriented smartphones. HTC released the Exodus 1 model in Feb 2019, during the Mobile World Congress. In November 2019, the company also debuted the Exodus 1s smartphone, a relatively cheaper version of the previous one. It was available for only $244. However, the price of the recently unveiled Exodus 5G Hub router is not known yet.
