HTC Reveals The New Exodus 5G Hub Router With A Cryptocurrency Wallet
For privacy and security purposes, the Exodus 5G Hub harbours services like VPN and crypto-oriented Brave browser. Nevertheless, the feature that genuinely makes the new HTC release stand out is its ability to directly run a Bitcoin node.
Additionally, this new product is set to help users manage their cryptocurrency holdings with the backing of the topnotch Zion Vault wallet. The Vault, which comes as a pre-installed app on HTC Exodus, supports several coins including Bitcoin (BTC), Binance Coin (BNB) and Stellar Lumen (XLM).
Nonetheless, the technical specifications of the router’s newest version are still the same. Like previous instalments, it runs on devices with Android 9 and a Snapdragon 855 chipset. It also comes with a maximum download speed of about 2.63Gbps, which gives it capabilities to connect with up to 20 devices.
This new router serves as the newest addition to the line of blockchain-oriented smartphones. HTC, the Taiwanese company, released the Exodus 1 model during the Mobile World Congress in Feb 2019. In late 2019, the company unveiled the Exodus 1s smartphone, a relatively cheaper version of the previous instalment. The smartphone was available for only $244. However, the price of the recently released Exodus 5G Hub router is yet to be announced.
