Crex24 Exchange Users Alarm over Lacking Transparency in the Network
Recently, Crex24 crypto exchange users, have accused the platform of not being truthful about the extent of the most recent hack. The accusations arose after the users noticed suspension of trades in several altcoins on the platform.
According to the customers, Crex24 has not been forthcoming about the reasons for them suspending the trading of over 60 altcoins. The most recent event in Crex24 is freezing the platform’s multiple coins’ withdrawals and deposits.
On March 6, a blockchain publication, Livecoin news, released a report about an anonymous user who claims to have identified suspicious movement of Htmlcoin. Primarily, such movement suggests some improper dealings. This user-claims that he lost crypto worth almost $32 thousand in mid-February because of frozen funds.
Later, Crex24 confirmed the loss of 200 million Htmlcoins worth approximately $11,200 from exchange’s wallets to criminals. They promised to work on refunding the victims.
However, others noted that on February 12, around 1.3 billion Htmlcoin, valued at $72,800, was withdrawn from Crex24’s wallet and moved to another exchange, the Hitbtc crypto exchange.
Htmlcoin has barely survived two months in Crex24 since it was listed in January 2020, and currently, all its pairings are offline. Recently, Crex 24 increased its KYC verification for withdrawals, all a way to prevent their customers from withdrawing.
