Ceres Is Bringing DeFi Services and Utilities for Tokens on Polkaswap

Project Reviews / 27.04.2021

Ceres is one of the first fully developed ecosystems on Sora blockchain, a future Polkadot parachain. The project is introducing unique DeFi and utilities for tokens on Polkaswap.

According to their website, the development team behind Ceres wanted to create a unique project never seen before in the crypto space. According to their official Twitter page, they have spent the last six months developing code, choosing the platform, and testing/innovating to ensure the project launches successfully. The Ceres code is being built with the supervision and help of the Sora dev team.

Named after Ceres, the Greek goddess of agriculture, fertility and grain crops, motherly relationship, this unique project seeks to inherit the same core values and allow them to thrive. The goddess, a member of a race of deities (Ceres, Apollo, Demeter, and Hermes), generously rewards her admirers with tokens and other perks.

The Ceres product seeks to introduce more transparency and security to the Polkaswap and Sora/Polkadot ecosystem. Here is a look at the main features of the Ceres ecosystem and its upcoming presale.

The Ceres Temple (Main Features)

Ceres integrates the concepts of airdrops, burning, and charity in one platform. The ecosystem consists of several tokens (Ceres, Apollo, Demeter, and Hermes), each with a unique purpose that makes the whole ecosystem sustainable.

All Ceres holders stand to receive three different airdrop tokens (Apollo, Demeter, and Hermes). Each airdrop seeks to bring decentralized finance (DeFi) services and utilities for tokens on Polkaswap.

The airdrops all have a specific purpose and will be provided with initial liquidity. Ceres tokens will be burned over time as a deflationary measure to reduce supply constantly.

The first airdrop token on the Ceres roadmap is Demeter, scheduled for Q3 2021. The event will be followed by the Demeter listing on Polkaswap and the launch of the Demeter DeFi platform in the same quarter. Hermes (second airdrop token) is scheduled for Q4 this year, while the final airdrop token (Apollo) will be disbursed to users in Q1 2022.

Ceres token holders also can propose and vote on new features and developments on the project via the governance mechanism.

The Ceres community will regularly offer charities, and token holders will have the right to vote for them. These events provide one additional purpose to Ceres token and present. They also help to represent the crypto community as a helpful community in their “real” environment.
